Contemporary medicine breaks down everything into its smallest parts and as a result is unable to "see the forest because of all the trees". Bright's disease (now called nephritis) is a complex multi-dimentional condition that has to do with a number of issues, including the quality and constitution of the blood, the metabolism of proteins in the human body, and of course kidney damage - the result of the first two. Modern medicine has simply categorized Bright's disease as a "disease of the kidneys", rendering it incurable. The book is written in 1862 by Fred Mahomed, RESIDENT MEDICAL OFFICER OF THE LONDON FEVER HOSPITAL. A time when doctors actually wanted to help and cure people, and not just bill them. Which would explain why this work has been veiled in obscurity in the medical field.
